We're proud of our work! Here are some of your Insideschools success stories:

Mom finds better middle school for her children: A Bronx mother moved her twins from a chaotic middle school to Frederick Douglass Academy II, a successful school for children in grades 6-12. "Finally, my dreams came true," Anna Matthews wrote Insideschools. "Because of you, my children will be attending one of the best schools in the Bronx, close to home, and I don't have to worry about high school!"

School recruits talented teachers through Insideschools "teaching jobs" classifieds: Hamilton Heights Academy in Manhattan found qualified teachers with an Insideschools classified ad. "We are getting resumes from great people who would not have otherwise know about us, people for whom we are the perfect school," wrote Laura Norwitz, on the school's hiring committee. "Insideschools is a fabulous resource."

School officials revamp high school admissions process as result of parents postings on Insideschools "Speak Out" forum: More than 100 angry 8th grade parents used Insideschools' "Speak Out" section to launch a letter writing campaign to School Chancellor Joel Klein to protest the confusing and arbitrary high school admissions that left thousands of children without a placement. The chancellor responded by revamping the admission process.

City Council forced into action by rat and mouse complaints collected by Insideschools: When 80 percent of readers responding to an Insideschools survey complained their schools were infested with mice or rats, the City Council held a hearing on how to better control rodents in school buildings.

Racial integration admissions policy preserved through parent postings on Insideschools "Speak Out" forum: Parents at Manhattan East, a racially integrated middle school in East Harlem, used "Speak Out" to complain to the chancellor that a new admission policy would upset the racial balance of their school. The chancellor agreed to keep the existing policy in place.

A Brooklyn social worker uses Insideschools to help place her clients in good schools: "I am often at a loss when my clients and their parents, or lawyer in my office, ask me what certain high schools in Brooklyn are like," wrote Susan Woodward of the Legal Aid Society. "I really love being able to look up high schools on your website and getting the inside scoop. I also particularly like your advice on transfers and other basic information. Your website empowers parents, who are often shockingly lacking in power and access to knowledge about their rights."
